Susan Lucci's Celebrity Branding Efforts
Susan Lucci
is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress. Lucci is best known for playing the
role of Erica Kane on the television soap opera All My Children. She has appeared on All My Children since the show's inception on
Lucci was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy for her work on All My Children almost every year since 1978. After 18 failed nominations in a row, she finally won in 1999. Lucci reportedly earns over $1 million a year, making her one of the highest-paid actors in daytime television.
In addition to her role on All My Children, Lucci has appeared in a number of television shows including Saturday Night Live and her most recent spot on this season’s Dancing With The Stars.
Lucci has also sought to protect her name as a trademark. A search of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Website Database yields two live “hits” including:
- YOUTHFUL ESSENCE BY SUSAN LUCCI + Design U.S. Trademark Registration No. 2,852,460 for use on “skin care system comprised of skin cleansers, skin creams, skin moisturizers, skin toners, facial mists and hand held battery operated skin cleansing tools with sponge attachments all sold together as a unit” in Class 3.
- PERSONAL MICRODERMABRASION BY SUSAN LUCCI U.S. Trademark Application Serial No. 78/359,065 for use on “skin care system comprised of skin cleansers, skin creams, skin moisturizers, skin toners, facial mists and hand held battery operated skin cleansing tools with sponge attachments all sold together as a unit” in Class 3.
Lucci’s fans look forward not only to her performances on Dancing With the Stars and All My Children, but also to her expanded celebrity branding efforts.
